Abhin Devadiga Drummer to Runner: Budding Athlete from Udupi

 Udupi; Abhin Devadiga, son of Sri Baskar Devadiga and Smt. Asha Devadiga from Udupi residence at Kallianpur has achived Bronze medal in 100mts National Level athlete under 17 held at Gudiwada, Telangana, AndraPradesh in January 2016. Currently studying in 9th standard at Milagris College Kallianpur.

He started his career in sports from the year 2011, then in 2012when he was in 6th standard he placed first in 100mts, 200mts and relay at Udupi District Athlete Association

In 2012 again he placed first in 100mts, 200mts in Taluk level sports conducted by the Education Department. In district level he placed III in Long Jump. Other details 2014-15 as follows


Abhin Devadiga who entered the field of music as drummer at his age of six under the training from his Drummer Guru Sri Satish Bannanje and when he reached 10years of age he was the luckiest child who has been invited to inaugurate the Children’s Dasara in the year 2011.

Already he has his own records his name has been recorded in the INDIAN BOOK OF RECORDS as a youngest boy to plar drum on the spot for any song.

So far he has performed in many TV channels (ETV-Kannada, Telugu, Marati, Bengali, Suvarna Vahini) and has played drums in more than 700 prgrammes. He has participated in popular  tv shows like, ‘Super Star of Karnataka’ and ‘Super’ in Kannada, ‘Nadakula’ in Marathi, ‘Mojar Haath Jam Jamath’ in Bengali, ‘Adhurs’ in Telugu and others.

In 2012 he received “Kalashree” award in a competition held by Department of Women and Child Development, Govt. of Karnataka.

Also has been honoured with awards  - ‘Kalakiran’, and has also bagged several titles to his name – ‘Rockstar’, ‘Drum Mantrika’, ‘Junior Shivamani’ and many more to come.

Mr. Abhin has the capabilities to play drums in western as well as the eastern styles. He is the youngest achiever in Drums from Udupi Karnataka.
